A risk register is a comprehensive list of risks, accompanied by supplementary data, that aids in prioritizing which controls to implement first. It also provides an overview of the risks in financial terms, including the estimated costs of each control and the expected return on investment. These figures are based on a company with $5 million in annual revenue. (This is similar to what we use today.)

Cyber Hygiene Checklist

We recommend that every company, whether our client or not, have a minimum set of practices and security measures that they can adopt to protect their critical information, digital assets, systems, and networks from cyber threats. The list we use is adapted from the Center for Internet Security (v8.1) with cross-references to the NIST cybersecurity framework (CSF) v2.0 and NIST SP800-171R3 for CMMC compliance. Implementing the list will meet most, if not all, of the CMMC level 1 requirements.
